Ladies T20 Match report...A near capacity crowd witnessed a truly remarkable game between these two sets of athlete's. Team A led by Cate & Team B led by Jane. Team A won the toss and elected to field, team B raced to 20 after the first few overs thanks to 15 wide & no balls however the magnificent Anne Brockbank took the first catch of the day which was followed by a Lottery Win style celebration. Team B's heads dropped after Anne's celebrations but eventually got back in there stride adding to the score thanks to more wide balls and a good few fours from some excellent ( Lucky ) batting. Team B eventually recorded a respectable 125 after there 20 overs. After what only can be described as consuming a huge amount of beer in a short period the opening pair from Team A went out to do battle with the bat, with captain Cate encouraging her players to do whatever it takes to beat them. The A's displayed dominance with the bat through skill, athleticism, and a load of wide & no balls. The A's raced to a magnificent 126 with overs to spare proving that they were the much better team. The only injuries to report were Karen Feltham of Team A who claimed a pulled muscle while fielding, however the team physio Neil Tomlinson ruled this was an attempt to throw a sickie. The only other injury was to Team B captain Jane who while celebrating her teams crushing defeat lost her footing while dancing on the bar and fell heavily from the bar top after consuming a large bottle of Smirnoff and several shots.
