Match report West Hallam openers Tittershall and Tingle found life on Sunday a little different as Laundon caused them all sorts of problems. although taking until his 4th over to remove Tingle. Dawes came on from the bottom end and gave the visitors all sorts off problems with his bounce, finishing with 2 for 24 off his 8 overs.
Skipper Cowley gave all the lads a go with the ball and West Hallam scored steadily until the return of Laundon who took 2 more quick wickets, then Cowley returned to grab 2. A super run out by Tasker, who had already taken 3 catches, ended the wicket taking and WHCC finished on 209-9.
Tasker and Laundon opened up for SACC. Tasker falling quickly giving Ling a catch of the bowling of Tingle, Marriner fell in the same over middle peg removed. Dawes hung around for 12 overs hitting 16 runs then played all around a straight one. Robinson came and went hitting a super 4 then misjudging a yorker.
70 on the board and 20 overs left the game hung in the balance, McKinstry joined Laundon in the middle and stayed for 15 overs for his 14 runs stepping back in front of his stumps LBW. Cowley Spanked two 4's then tapped the ball twice, out.
Laundon who had just reached 103 also retired to allow Alfas youngsters Brown and Barker to bat through to the end, 173-6. Great game with a great crowd.
