Sporting Alfas Cricket Club Won League Campaign begins with a Win

Match report Sporting Alfas Firsts Started the league campaign at the Woodbridge Oval with a thrashing of Valencia. Munoz and Laundon started making things happen with a mixture of Munoz's speed and Laundon's guile. Munoz getting Sarifaz caught by Howe for 0. Laundon followed having Navaaid caught by Howe. Yaffar was beaten for pace by Munoz and was well held by Crompton in the covers. Laundon kept on the pressure removing Asif LBW and Tariq again caught by Howe in the same over, Afzal replaced Munoz and soon found his length Qasim nicking one to Morgan and Ahsan giving Taylor a bit of catching practice. Ur Rehman replaced Afzal and joined the Party removing the last 3 wickets in his first 4 over's. Asif bowled, Faaisal caught by Munoz and Asodag caught by Laundon.
119 all out a good days work by the Alfas bowlers.
Spencer and Howe again shone in the batting department, both looking in good form and punishing any width from the Valencia bowlers. The win came inside 14 over's with all the bowlers looking confused by the range of shots played by the SACC openers Spencer finished on 69 and Howe 43 in what can only be described as a destructive batting display and ruthless fielding by the Albir side. 20 well deserved points.
