Match report Losing the toss SACC found themselves batting first against a fairly gentle Mojacar attack. A well-paced performance saw them reach 189-9 at the end of their alloted 40 overs. Dawes (40), Cooper (39), Nix (28), and Brown (20)provided the backbone of the innings, with Redpath (4-25) being the pick of the Mojacar bowlers. Taking the field SACC maintained an accurate bowling attack throughout and Mojacar never looked like reaching the target. Jamie Roper, back in the team after his school exam break, ended with an excellent 5-24. Bob Nix behind the stumps took 3 sharp stumpings as Roper switched from his normal seam up to bowl spin. In spite of these great personal efforts SACC could not dislodge all the Mojacar batsmen who finished on 122-7. A comfortable win for SACC though, ending with 16 points from the game.
