Match report Asked to bat SACC got off to an awful start Munoz falling for 0 and Spencer following shortly after for 11. Home team bowlers got to grips quickly and gave the City Lion batsmen a bit of a going over taking wickets regulary, with an attacking field set the ball was either a 1 or a 4 with a flurry of 6's from Naveed. As usual SACC fielders played a massive part in the demise of City Lions as 8 players fell to catches with an equal amount missed. Ben Fletcher rounded of an excellent day with 2 good catches in front of the home crowd, Chris Munoz also taking a brace. Brown, on debut behind the stumps, also claimed 2. Crompton was the pick of the bowlers taking 3 for 37 from eight fizzing overs. Pennick and Laundon both helped themselfs to a pair.
Sporting Alfas would like to thank City Lions for coming down from Barcalona, and also welcome back the spectators who returned in good numbers for the first elevens return to the Woodbridge Oval.
