Twigworth Travelers came to the Woodbridge Oval and looked in good Nick for the coming english summer, Batting first F House gave up his chance and was well caught by Brown off the bowling of Roper. Smith and Owen then enjoyed a hundred partnership before the introduction of Taylor, not bowling from his normal end Taylor grabbed a wicket with his first ball when Owen decided the bowling was not up to scratch and placed the ball into the hands of Packiam at long off. Smith (63)followed two over´s later edging one to A Brown behind the stumps. Marage was the next to go dancing down the wicket only to miss the ball and watch in horror as A Brown whipped of the bails. Harris enjoyed some extravagant shots and finished on 48. 200 for 6 from 40.
Packiam fell early and Fletcher not much later, then Pennick also, 30 for 3 an uphill struggle looked on as Laundon and Metcalf attempted to stretch the game out, but Metcalf fell in the 13 over so Taylor joined the fun as the Twigworth bowlers played cat and mouse with ease. a Little mini collapse the took place as Taylor, T Brown and A Brown all fell. Roper Joined Laundon and the pair stayed together for 7 overs before Roper also gave away his wicket, Waqar unluckily played on so it was left to Kieren Perman to try and bat out the overs with Laundon. Both players still playing shots and the score reached 140 with 1 over left when House tempted Laundon(57) to go for another big shot which went high but not long and the game ended with SACC only reaching a lowly 140. As always the crowd and players enjoyed a post match drink and plans were made for next season when the Traveller´s will return.
