Match report On a glorious Sunny day the visiting Skipper from Lancashires Premier Club club Tottington asked Alfas cc to bowl first . Harry Deardran who has represented England under 17s opened the batting and looking good after cracking 2 4s in his first over got carried away and hit one hard into the chest of Ben Fletcher who some how clung on to the rebound . In cam Josh another product of Lancs CCC Academy who looked every part a good cricketer with hitting any bad ball for 4 and put on a 100 for the 2nd wicket with skipper Dearden Snr before picking out Loundon on the straight Boundary off Taylor for 76runs. Runs continued to flow and a huge total looked on before Crompton had Dearden lBW for 56 Stringer , Marsh and Grundy all scored runs to get Tottington to 256for 6 off 40 overs Roper 2/31 after his stint with Sussex CCC bowlers last week bowled well.

SACC with a good batting line up and against one of the best sides to come to Spain had a good batting line to try chase down the 6.6 an over required.
The tempo was set with Pennick cover driving the very first ball for 4 . Boundaries and singles were taken as and when possible against a useful and experienced attack with both openers getting to 50 and the 120 coming up at the half way stage, all set for a good chase . Brooke hit a couple of big 6s to take the score to 175 and both batters scoring steady Before Pennick who hit the fielders for 6 balls on the trot whilst on 99 and getting plenty of ribbing from the fielders , finally finding a gap and scoring his first 100 of the season closely followed by Brooke who scored his Maiden 100 with a 4. Brooke as he did the whole innings kept nicking the strike and with the large total of 265 in getting closer with few only overs to go brooke punished every ball and leavinf Pennick to watch from the other end with 150 not by hitting a 6 to win the game and set up a 265opening partnership against a more then useful bowling attack. Great day and Paella was put on afterwards for all the player and visitors .
