Sporting Alfas Cricket Club Won SACC to strong for Durham City

Match report Durham City CC came to the Woodbridge Oval, after a comfortable win over the midweek side, looking to repeat that performance against the 1st eleven, SACC won the toss and chose to bat first. The Durham bowlers did a great job and took wickets regulary but the score board was always moving at a steady rate,thanks to Spencer (50) Howe (47) and Abbas (43) a par score of 220 looked reachable but with 1 over left it was opening bowler Lupson who set the ground alight with a blistering 22 off quickie Brookes. 243-6 a good days work against the strongest bowling attack to visit for a while.
Durhams batsmen never really got in, only Watson(31) and Thunder(29) breaking the 20 mark. SACC took regular catches as the Durham lads tried to break the hold that SACC bowlers had. After 37 overs it was home boy Metcalf who ended the Durham display, after hitting his first 4 in a competitive match he ran himself out.
