Sporting Alfas Cricket Club Won SACC away to a great start to season.

Match report Invited to bat by the visitors. SACC 1st X1, never looked back, Spencer reaching 58 before pulling a hamstring, Howe(14) opening for the first time this year looking in good nick before playing around one. Cooper(19) using all his batgiving Hudd his second wicket, out LBW. Crompton scoring a chanceless 69 in quick time including 4x6´s, but after paying the scorer to show only 47 for a couple of overs unluckily pulled a muscle. X factor J.Morgan showed early season nerves and left for only 5 runs. Muñoz yet again played with patience and hit a good early season 43, carrying his bat and ready for next week. Climent played an excellent innings, running many quick singles with Muñoz, and looking like a man ready to return to our team every saturday, retired hurt on 51. Lupson entered the arena and did what he does best, 1st ball 6. second ball 4, third ball out. Taylor finished the innings with an elegance only time can buy, 281 for 4 a steady start to the new season but would SACC be able to carry this form through and onto the field.
Lupson opened for Alfas and gave the Tottenhoe visitors a good start allowing them 17 runs of his first 3 overs. Muñoz started at the bottom end and bowled opener Wray with his first ball had other opener George caught with his 12 and finished off removing number 3 Stonesby with his 27th delivery. Compton took over at the top end and looked in good nick after the winter break unlucky to return 1-17 from 6 well bowled overs. Taylor given the bottom end,carried on from last year returning 3-22 from his 7 overs. Spencer called into the attack returned 2-15 from his 6 overs showing good form. with the rain coming and the tauil end batting Laundon took the ball and with a enormous effort took the last wicket 1-0 off 1 ball.
After todays game the hut was renamed the Lewis´Cabin in a quick ceremony by Lesley, Steve´s wife and his Mum June who travelled over for today. This was followed by an enjoyable evening at the Woodbridge Oval with many pyramids built.
