Match report After winning the toss and electing to bat the Kent Cavaliers made rapid progress as thirty-two runs came from the initial five overs. The introduction of spin bowling by the Alfas captain slowed the scoring rate as Crompton claimed the wickets of both opening batsmen and Yousaf's eight overs realised only twelve runs. When Taylor and Metcalfe replaced Crompton and Yousaf, the innings soon folded as the former claimed 3-11 and junior player Metcalfe returned figures of 3-25. The final Cavaliers total was a modest 120 and was never likely to trouble the Alfas side.




After the loss of an early wicket, Andrews (38) and Myers took the score to seventy. Following their departure, and the loss of a further wicket, Spencer and Crompton saw Alfas to victory in the twentieth over. The most successful bowler for the Kent Cavaliers was Betts who claimed 2-20.
