AGM MINUTES OF SACC, HELD ON THE 9/12/2023, AT WOODBRIDGE OVAL.

IN ATTENDANCE.

OPENING ADDRESS.
Chairman thanked everyone for their attendance, and gave thanks to all the players that turn out and play for the club week in week out.
Accepted it is difficult but without them the club would not be able to continue.
A special mention was given to Chip and Saran for their time in the hut and for the long hours they have put in.

CLUB POSITIONS.
No new treasure or league rep was nominated. No Sunday captain was proposed.
After a long discussion, Saturday captain was to be worked out between Ian and Kevin.

LEAGUE CRICKET.
Vote for league cricket was carried 7 to 4.

OTHER TOPICS.

The members were informed that the club had purchased a new score board and it was on its way.

The club will look into a system called FROG BOX for live streaming of games.

A new sponsor is being looked into, but yet to be finalised.

Search for new members is on going,. Club will print flyers and posters to be handed out, and adverts to be put on  Facebook sites.

Membership is once again due for the 2024 season, and it was also requested for selected players to answer emails of selection ASAP.

Ibiza tour to go ahead. Cate has volunteered to be tour manager to control finances. Club to possibly pay for end of tour meal for members.

Pre season/ presentation meal being arranged once again by Cate for the 12/1/2024. To keep the social side of the club going.

MATCH FEES.
A proposal for match fees to be supported by the club for players, playing more than one game a week vs same opposition.
€10.00 first game. €5.00 second game. And a third game would be free from match fees.
The vote was carried 8 to 1.

At 16.20 the chairman closed the meeting, thanked everyone, and invited them for a drink.
