On Sunday the 17th Aug. the first team travelled to la Manga in search of a victory over Alcorcon who are second in division, terrible start as Ben loses the toss and we are invited to bat on a very wet wicket, Alcorcon bowlers make inroads whilst the wicket stays wet and SACC fall to 44 for 5. Roper with an excellent 50 and the tail make it 177 from 45, Special mention to Basherat who hit an unbeaten 24 from 7 deliveries. 177 is an easily getable run chase so the SACC bowlers had to be at their best Roper opened and removed the off stump. Laundon had Tariq caught 3rd ball, game on. Wickets fell steadily but Alcorcon were never behind the run rate but as the overs ticked by the winning formula gave SACC a comfortable Victory.
