Sporting Alfas Cricket Club Won SACC 1ST ELEVEN MARCH ON.

Match report Harpendon arrived at the Woodbridge Oval for the twelve time. SACC won the toss and batted first.
The Harpendon attack found Spencer and Howe in good touch, 50 coming up in the tenth over. In the twelve over Spencer(29) fell to an Afzal slower ball, chipping it to gully-point. Crompton joined Howe at the crease and carried on spanking the ball around with ease. Alfas second team captain Pennick finally grabbed a second wicket for Harpendon, trapping Howe(40) LBW. Crompton(80) with 13 fours and 3 sixes finally was caught at deep mid off by Crest off the bowling of Alfas player Marriner, Ur Rehman and Climent(40) carried on the good work with Ur Rehman reaching 100 in the final over. A very good display of aggressive batting by the Alfas top order.
Harpendon opened with Alfas player Faran Alfaz who spanked 10 from the first 5 balls that Munoz bowled at him then edged the sixth to first slip Spencer glinging on to it with glee. Laundon at the other end claimed Gilson(4) with a quicker ball that yet again was well taken by Spencer at first slip. Lewis played the first ball of Laundon´s second over in the air to Munoz at point, this allowed Pennick to face his Alfas team mates, but not for long though as his third ball came off the leading edge and was well caught, by Climent at short mid wicket. Howden strode to the middle with much to prove, in his last innings against his home club he made 64, he reached 4 before Munoz took out his middle peg. Home boy Marriner suffered the same fate 4 balls later. Harpendon skipper Fordham was going about his work with relative ease but fell for a piece of Taylor magic drawn out of his crease and well stumped by Morgan for a top scoring 37. Crest(20) got after Lupson spanking 5 fours before going after another big hit but skying it to Crompton at cover. Taylor took the last wicket, Bashford trying to bash it but only managing to chip it to Munoz at short mid wicket.
