Match report
On a nice sunny day in October came Jones old side from wales whom had been before and had known quick bowlers among the ranks , much to say way the Club had a few drop outs once this was known, but no worries for the sacc side led by Pennick into battle with his merry men. Loosing the toss and bowling , Rogerstone soon set the attack to the Alfas boys , with only Howe and Packiam returning good figure sin a total of 260 off just 40overs with all top 6batsman making runs. Well maybe a bit of an ask for the long tail of Sacc which started from the openers and never looked like improving.BAtsmen came and went until Howe and Pennick turned up at the crease before pennick Mentioned to Howe that the quick lads had not come on yet.... oh here they both are the Berry Brothers , Howe seeing that both men Looked alot older then Himself feered not especially with them both missing a few teeth , until first ball off a length tested Howes New gloves to the full , and broke them , luckily saving his fingers, Pennick very watchful from the other end and more then happy to bat at the none strikers end watched as more came and went . With the berry brothers out of the attack with figures of 1'7 off 6overs , the batsman could not believe there luck only to find that 40 overs had been and gone , with SACC at 149 for 7, much pide was taken of not being all out and Skipper pennick reaching 42not out at the end.Next game on Thursday and a few more recruits were needed to make a contest of it .... will they show....
