Sporting Alfas Cricket Club Won SACC 227 Alcorcon 100
Match report
Sporting Alfas Cricket Club Sporting Alfas 1st X1 227 for 10 beat Alcorcon CC/home 100 for 10
Alcorcon returned to The Woodbridge Oval and hoped to hit better form in the longer game than last weeks effort in the T20. SACC won the toss and batted first,Pennick and Spencer both reaching fifty before Pennick(52) was caught in the 18th over, 115 the total. Crompton then came in and reached 22 before he to fell to a catch, 142-2 from 23. Spencer(72) also fell foul of the aerial route and also was caught, 147-3 from 25. Tasker in his first game this season looked as though nothing would stop him and reached 42 before he also was caught SACC reached 227 but 5 LBW´s stopped them reaching maximum batting points. Alcorcon fancied their chances on a normal high scoring ground but Laundon and Pennick stopped them in a 18 over spell that left Alcorcon reeling on 74 for 8, Akmal the first to go, a great stop by Tasker allowed Laundon to toss the ball to Pennick who took off the bails. 2 overs later Tariq launched one and Crompton caught him on the cover boundary, 18 for 2 from 4. Laundon then removed Malik well caught by Taylor in the gully and bowled Qasar. Pennick bowled Waseem and Laundon had Naresuk adjudged LBW. After 12 overs Alcorcon looked punch drunk on 49 for 6. Laundon then bowled Razziq and Pennick had Mudasser caught by Spencer the game was going all SACC´s way. 74 for 8 after 18 overs, but a fight back began with Jaffar and Hussen hanging around for 8 overs before Taylor removed Hussen, The score had reached 98 when Spencer was asked to have a go, 2 runs and 4 balls later Jaffar raced down the wicket and Brown removed the bails game over, 100 all out. SACC 19 points Alcorcon 6.
