Match report
Valencia batted first, Laundon and Pennick set about the task of bowling and as normal kept a very tight line, both bowlers causing the Valencian batsmen to play and miss often. In the 3rd over Pennick cought Yousaf off the bowling of Laundon, then had Waris caught by Brown, 4 overs 2 wkts 8 runs. In the 5th over Pennick got another, Bar caught by Crompton. Akhtar becan a series of big shots that took him to 65 runs, although SACC had many chances to get him out, but his team mates failed to stay long and wickets fell at a very steady rate. Pennick ended with 3 wickets for 38 runs from 9 overs, Taylor 3 wickets for 16 from 6.4 overs, a good recovery after his first over went for 11, Fell 2 wickets for 27 runs from 6 overs and Laundon 2 wickets for 35 from 9 overs. Pennick and Laundon removing the top order batsmen again in a fine display of seam bowling. Valencia all out for 122 from only 30.4 overs.
SACC pair Muñoz and Pennick got after the Valencia bowlers and fifty came up in the 8th over, but after reaching 27 Muñoz gave up his wicket caught off a poor delivery from Javed. Crompton carried on and the score reached 121 when he decided to go for glory and skied one, giving Waris his only wicket. Naddem joined Pennick who finished unbeaten on 37, and blasted his second delivery to the boundry and SACC celebrated another great win in front off a large crowd who enjoy the atmosphere at The Woodbridge Oval.
