This week´s opposition Madrid Utd 1st team gave the SACC players a bit of a scare ammassing 61 runs from the first 10 over´s. As alway´s the spin of Alfas´s cooled things down and wickets started to fall at a steady rate, Tayloy removing the top three in yet another memoriable display his 9 overs getting rid of Waheed(53), Khasif(42), ASif(10) and a por bit of cricket allowing Dhabyana a easy run out. 18 Ovres and the score card a more realistic 118 for 4.
Crompton unplayable in his first over got a wicket in his second and and Madrid looked a Little wobbly at 120 for 5 from 20. Madrid then sensible decided to have some time at the crease and took up the next 18 overs reaching 173 before Laundon trapped Ittifaq in front. Spencer then joined in and took 3 wickets befor e the close of Madrids innings on 231 for 9. 4 points to Alfas and 4 to Madrid.
Pennick and Spencer opened for SACC and looked in control as runs came at a steady 4 an overuntril Spencer played around one in the 9th over with 36 on the board. Shahzad and Pennick then took the score to 152 before Shahzad chipped one to backward square leg out for 38. Fletcher and Pennick took the score to the finishing line when Fletcher on 42 attempted the big finish and was held at mid wicket. Pennick then finished the game reaching 120 not out SACC take 19 points from this game and Madrid United 5.
