Sporting Alfas Cricket Club Sporting Alfas 2nd X1 v Tottington C C on Sun 08 Mar 2015 at 12.00
Match was Drawn Alfas lost 1st match, won 2nd

Match report The Tottington hoard rolled back into Alfas after a very good match on the Saturday to take on the SACC II's. While enjoying the sights of some Golf and avoiding stray balls cutting across the clubhouse, the teams agreed to 2 15/15 over games and Alfas decided to bat first.

Matters could have started better as Abdul was caught behind in the 2nd over. Brown, Marriner, Byrne and Jack Perman all fell on unlucky 7 but Kieran Perman added a run-a-ball 23 and Roper 15 before taking one run too many and getting run out. Alfas ending on 79 off their 15 Overs for 8.

In reply, Abdul gave the Alfas an initial jab of spirit when in the second over he took 2, catching an edge to the 'keeper and holding one off his own bowling. However, Tottington Yellow's had no issue with unlucky 7 and with 5 batsmen making it into double figures, held their nerve and won the game in the final over, Alfas making regular breakthroughs but just not enough in the end.

The second match saw the Tottington Red's try to emulate their yellow counterparts, Alfas fielding first and in a reversal from their first match, did not find an initial breakthrough until the 4th over when Abdul again made the breakthrough. Another 5 overs passed before J. Perman used his straight ball to great effect getting that most rare of sights for a Leg Spinner - LBW. However, with Totttington's opener batting himself off for 31, Tyler Brown entered the attack and took 4 for 23 off his 3 overs helping Alfas keep the Red's total below 100.

In reply to the total, Roper started as a man on a mission, hitting a quickfire 25 including 2 6's and as in the first match, Kieran Perman hit another 20+ score (26*) to see the Alfas home reaching the total for the loss of just 4.

With litte light left in the day but some energy left in the players, the field was taken again for a 6 over a side swing-a-ling, skipper Mark Perman hitting 17 in a total of 37, aided by Wellington Smith (9) and Bodnarac (5*). However, with a hint of Shenannigans, the Tottington's played their trump cards of Josh and young Dearden to knock of the total with ease but keeping spirits up on both sides, with even the umpire joining in with fielding duties to show the spirit the day displayed. A great thank you to Tottington and their "cast of thousands" for their trip.
