Sporting Alfas Cricket Club Won Pirates Sunk By Alfas Bowlers

Match report Alfas 2nds entertained last years league winners.Happy to be at home after last weeks away trip in Madrid, the 2nds were ready to get their home campaign up and running.The Pirates arrived with some regular and new faces ,Alfas too had to make changes as normal keeper was away. Alfas won the toss and asked Pinatar to bat. Skipper Perman was ready to unleash his bowlers the swerve of Abdul and Power of Ali and they did not disappoint taking 6 of the top 7 batsmen.Abdul 4 Ali 2, and all catches being smartly taken, even stand in keeper Jack taking one. Pinatar limped the drinks.Then the introduction of Marriner and Ashraf (spin and straight bowling) Finished the Pirates off only 10 overs later both taking two wickets each.
Alfas had to go straight out to bat for half hour and the sight of two heavy weights Laundon and Brown made the ground shake,both got off to flyers until Laundon was lively caught behind by flying Buckley. Ashraf joined brown but he did not make it to tea caught behind once again by Buckley. At tea alfas were 35 for 2. Once teas were consumed Abdul joined Brown who was making up for his wide bowling. But fell to an edge to first slip on 33.After his keeping stint and broken finger J. Perman meet Abdul in the middle, and with vickash ending his spell and a change of bowling the two knocked off the remaining runs quick smart .Abdul 17 Perman 5.
