Sporting Alfas Cricket Club Won SACC chase 234 from the Nomads CC

Match report Monday came around far to soon for many players after an hectic weekend of Cricket, Beer and food. Batting first Nomads set about the SACC bowlers with a ferocity that should be saved for wild animals. Tom Brockton unlucky to get a straight one from Braithwaite and was bowled, This had a strange effect on the two openers from the home team and runs slowed down as both decided it was easier to hit the mat than ask the batsmen to chase onto the grass to attempt a shot. Ormiston(22) was well caught by Muñoz at short mid wicket, Hussey(20) ran to the same end as Thornton and was run out, Thornton (74) gave Beety a chance and he took it in both hands a great catch for the new player off the bowling of Barter. Kyle reached 75 and a sporting declaration was made on 234. Tea was taken and SACC set about the run chase. Laundon and Pennick took the score to 49 before Pennick on 23 was bowled by bowler of the tour M Firth. Cooper came and went scoring a rapid 11. Muñoz and Laundon then took the score to 218, Laundon fell on 88, Keane came in and watched Muñoz reach his 103 to finish the game. 236-3 a great run chase.
