Sporting Alfas Cricket Club Won
Match report
Glenrothes on their second visit to the Woodbridge Oval won the toss and decided to bowl, A rapid and intimidating start produced a wkt for Lewis as Andrews left without bothering the scorer, Ex Spanish junior Captain Muñoz strolled to the middle and played a super innings which allowed Ali the chance to force a quick 113 and retire with only 20 overs gone, this effort set the tone and Myers confidently stroked the ball around the Oval to produce a solid 38 and bat through, Muñoz retired on 58 a great knock. T.Marshal arrived at the grease on his saturday debut, took a quick single twice and sportingly allowed Ross to bowl him. Crompton arrived in the middle and produce a quick fire hard hit 56. Harry Marshal (11 years old) also on Saturday debut stroked the last four balls for a creditable 7 runs. After a cold drink and a sandwich from the Hut, SACC set about the task, Lupson ran down the hill his rapid first over only marred by a wide. Laundon bowled uphill against the wind and produced a maiden, setting the opposition a tough task. Sampson looked as though he would enjoy a battle and set about the task with relish great stuff to watch as he peppered the boundry 16 times in a creditable 86 before a run out ended his day. the rest of Glenrothes batsmen came and went as SACC gave all players the chance to roll over the arm. Marshall senior grabbing the last wkt in his first competitive over, A good game played in the right spirit and ending with a few cold ones from the hut, fantastic,
