Sporting Alfas Cricket Club Lost lost by 10 balls in a tense finish.

Match report Busa Wanderers visited Albir and found the SACC bowling to their liking. SACC batted first and lost wickets steadily but reached 221 a par score off the allotted 35 overs, Abdul pick of the batsmen retired not out on 52.
In reply Busa Wanderers chased rapidly and until the introduction of Pennick, with his slow right arm over mix, they looked as though a target of 400 would have been chased down. Imran Khan removed Mason(32) with a
good yorker. With the score on 120 Pennick removed the opener Sheen with his first ball, Sheen on 44 eyes lit up when the ball from Pennick lifted like a helium balloon and fell to the earth with a soft plod easily put
away for 6 more and his half century, whoops the soft plod also relifted like the helium filled ballon and the opener had to leave when Amjad took the easiest of catches at point from a shot directed towards deep mid wicket.
Clarke also fell in much the same way but this time the newcome did manage to direct the ball to mid on and the chuckling hands of George Metcalf who could not believe that his Brother had 2 in 4 balls. Pennick then tempted
the hard hitting number 3 Rothwell into an outrageous attempt at a drive that ended up in the Captain and keepers safe hands. SACC skipper watched a few more overs pass by and changed the bowling as every one needs an
input in a day at the Woodbridge Oval and with the help of a 56 run, highest score on the day, from Showell, 16 from Maidment caught by Abdul off Algers slow leg spin, and 20 from Maingot the target was reached with 10 balls left.
A great game and thanks to the visitors for making the day enjoyable for the packed SACC terrace. Thanks were given by the Busa Wanderers Captain to our ever reliable tea ladies and gent, who had yet again made a spread fit for
a cricketing nation. Groundsman Dave for preparing a wicket full of runs, and the home team for giving them the welcome that only SACC can.
