Match report Aberdare elected to bat, Lupson and Muñoz opened the bowling for Alfas, both looking dangerous but again having no luck in the wickets department. After 10 overs Crompton(3-24) and Dawes(3-26) took out the top order Aberdare batsmen even though Alfas will rue the amount of chances that fell out of normally safe hands. Taylor took the ball in the 24th over and again bowled with a great accuracy returning 20-2. Morgan, the X man, standing behind for the first time claimed 2 catches and a stumping a great start to a short wicket keeping career.
Aberdare all out in the final over for 171, only L Derrick(27), Griffiths(23) and Flynn 46 at the end scoring noted runs.
SACC started with Spencer and Ur Rehman(16) in what looked like a good partnership the latter the first to fall playing around a delivery from Carter. Spencer(16) looking in good nick but stood on his wicket. Skipper Laundon(13) started a hat-trick of LBW´s from the umpires which surprised the away side but gave the game a much needed lift, Crompton (1) and Muñoz(34) the next to go. Howe at the same time hit a much needed 58 before trying to nick the batting but left himself stranded in the middle, Fletcher(10) attempting to repay the SACC faithful with some hard hit shots skied one and left a easy looking 5 needed from 4 overs. when Dawes fell trying to knock the ball into Benidorm and Taylor facing the game really came to life. Taylor kept the strike, not allowing the big hitting Lupson a chance to finish the game, took the game to the last ball. All evens, and fell short of the required quick single by a length, a great finish all even and the rain never arrived.
