Sporting Alfas Cricket Club Won SACC 294-6 LaManga 57-10

Match report La Manga visited the Woodbridge Oval for the first league game of the season, won the toss and asked SACC to bat first, Spencer unluck to get out in the first over after 17 runs had been added. Pennick jopined Ali and ther pair raced to 72 before Ali(37) played his favorite shot and holed out after striking 4x4s in succesion. Crompton joined in the fun and raced to 97 then played round a good one from ex SACC man G Wambeek who took 3 for 28. Lupson strode out to join Pennick and strode back again with out troubling the scorer. Muñoz watched as Pennick (67) gave Wambeek his last wkt playing over one that looked a little low. Skipper Laundon joined Muñoz(6) and expected to finish the innings with him but Muñoz chased a wide and was caught by Brook the keeper. Veteran Taylor proved that experiance counts and added 38 runs along with Laundon to insure maximum batting points.
La Manga struggled with the bat only Iqbal scoring 20 giving the home side any frights. Laundon and Lupson helped by very good catching in the field rounded off a good day for SACC in 12.5 overs. Maximum points,
