Sporting Alfas Cricket Club Sporting Alfas Saturday v Dos Foxes on Sat 27 Mar 2010 at 12.30
Sporting Alfas Cricket Club Won SACC knock off winning run in the 27th over

Match report Dos Foxes returned to the Woodbridge Oval to celebrate Captain Andrew Elliots birthday, Dos Foxes won the toss and chose to bat first, in the glorious sunshine. After 9 overs and the score on 31 Laundon opened the Alfas wicket account removing McLoughty(15) well caught by keeper Climent, Dos Foxes overseas player Barkley(57) arrived at the crease and looked in good form, along with Garrod took the score to 70 from 14 overs before leg spinner Crompton bowled him with a googly. Heaton, feeling Benidormed, entered the game and after surviving a first ball, loudly appealed catch behind, belted the ball to all corners to reach 39 from 23 balls, Crompton having him stumped by Climent, after which the Alfas bowlers really took charge, Garrod(32) falling to Taylor. Payne also went in the same fashion. Chadwhich held up the procession for a while reaching 27 before holing out to Muñoz, Doubly took the score past 200 and reached 20 before Spencer ended the innings. Birthday boy Andrew Elliot at least received his present as Muñoz got him a Golden Duck, which was excepted with glee by Andrew and equally enjoyed by his team.
Chasing down 209 should never worry the home team and with Spencer(52) and Howe(50) both leading from the front the 100 runs came up in 13 overs, both batsmen retired allowing Wasim and Crompton to have a go, Crompton followed the lads back after mistiming his first ball and was caught (Brink) in front of the olive tree. Climent joined Wasim in the middle and the pair took the score to 182 before Climent (29) fell to birthday boy Elliot well caught under the olive tree by Brink, Ali returning for his 1st game this year looked in good nick before trying to bang one into the pond, well caught by Brink off Elliot for 3. Wasim reached his 51 and retired. Muñoz fell to Elliot to round up the birthday gifts to Elliot who´s figures of 3 for 8 from 3 shone for the Foxes, Morgan(5) and Captain Laundon finished the game in the 27 over with the Skipper not needing to use his bat.
Well done boys, lets look forward to next week when La Manga visit the Woodbridge Oval.
