Sporting Alfas Cricket Club Won Mixed X1 snatch a win.

Match report Sunday 3rd of March saw the Sunday X1 take on Tottington CC. Batting first Sporting Alfas set of at a rapid pace with 50 being reached for the loss of Waqar Ahmed for 31 hard hit runs. 3 more overs passed and Asad Raza (21) followed his opening partner back to the shed with 64 on the scoreboard. Laundon joined Bilal and the pair took the score to 120 before Bilal on 43 found a save pair of hands. Zain Ellahi joined Laundon and the pair looked like taking the score on but Zain was caught on 14 with only 145 on the scoreboard. Returning SACC batsman Chris Cooper walked out to the middle and very nearly retraced his steps only to be saved by a very kind no ball call. Going on to reach 14 unbeaten Laundon retired on 50 to give S Altermira the chance to face a few balls. The SACC innings closed on 184.Tottington chase started slowly with SACC bowlers keeping things tight. Zain Ellahi taking 4 for 11 from his allotted overs. L Andrews returning figures of 1 for 25. Zain Butt unluckily 0 for 45 as the ball flew off the edge on numerous occasions.Azim 0 for 50, again unlucky in the wickets collected column. Bilal Ali bowled really well and got 3 for 20 from his 5 overs and along side Waqas Ahmad got a good win for the home team against a very solid batting team. Congratulations to Collins on reaching 50. Many thanks to Levante CC for loaning SACC a few players to insure 11 on the pitch.
